Finals Wrap-Up, End of Year Get Together 2017

Finals Wrap Up:

4-Kim

2-Ron

6-Doug

WHEW! That was close!!!

Winner:

Kim

After a year of slugging it out, the last two standing were Kim and Ron.
What should have been Ali vs. Frasier turned out, instead to be Glass Joe vs. Glasser Joe.
It came down to the last 22 seconds of the year, when Jake Elliott kicked a 48 yard FG to put the Eagles up on Oakland 13-10,
and gave Kim the 4 points she needed to overcome Ron 80.75-78.35,
This is the SECOND lowest total(159.10) of a championship game.
It was 0.05 points higher than last year’s debacle between Jodie and Brian.
Congratulations to Kim for her FIRST championship and the 6th for the Fortini family
(Norm-3, Randi-2, Kim-1)

Looks like I picked the wrong week to stop being snarky:

Winner:

Ron

His team picked a heckuva week to have EVERYONE underperform from their projected totals…
except the Minnesota defense (27.00).
Still, not a bad showing for his first year back after a long hiatus. Good job, Ron!

Semi-Finals Wrap-Up, Finals Preview 2017

106.05
6-Doug

Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit smoking weed:

Winner:

Dan and Doug

After a season long grind to get the #1 seed, Dan had:
Antonio Brown tear a calf muscle
Jimmy Graham got -1.00 (in a game where Seattle needed to pass to get back in the game)
Adam Thielen get only 3.00 when Minnesota scored 34, and
Keenan Allen only get 5.40, in a loss to the #4 seed, Kim.

Doug didn’t have anyone underperform badly, per se, but Jamaal Williams only got 3.00 at Carolina
and Jared Cook only get 1.70 v Dallas… yeah, about that TE spot…
Doug HAD Greg Olsen, but dropped him to pick up TJ Yeldon (whom he then didn’t play).
Greg rewarded Doug dropping him by putting up his first good game of the year (after injury)
with 17.60 points (9/116, 1TD).
That still wouldn’t have been enough to beat Ron, who put up a 140 spot, but still. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Wild Card Wrap Up:

(4) Kim
110.35
(5)Chris
85.65
(3) Dave
98.20
(6) Doug
123.05

Looks like I picked the wrong week to visit the castle:

Winner:

Chris and Dave

Robby Anderson picked a fine time to snap his 5 consecutive game double digit point streak. Derek Carr was the most underperforming of all of his 3 QBs (Keenum-23.00, Garoppolo-19.40). Also, if you take out games v Miami, the Ravens have scored 38+ points ONCE since October 12, 2014. Surely, the Steelers defense would be ready to go after losing LB Brian Shazier to a spinal contusion… NOPE!
Let’s let Joe Flacco, the 28th rated QB in the NFL (and 35th in Yds/Att) carve us up for 269 yards and a TD, and let Alex Collins go for a combined 166 yards and a TD. A smooth -6.00 destroyed any hopes of defeating Kim.
Chris’ mood after seeing that:

Dave had Sterling Shepard throw up a spectacular 0.70 against the woeful Cowboys, and he heard that Amari Cooper was recovered enough from his ankle injury(more below on that) that he would play at KC. Welp, Amari threw up a Blutarsky: 0.0
Aaron Rodgers is out one week too long,
and that’s all she wrote for the season for Dave.

Winner:

Doug
On multiple fronts… He had to sweat out Chris being busy and not seeing that Adrian Peterson was OUT with a neck injury (and substituting either Robby Anderson(11.40) or Derrick Henry(16.90)) AND the Steelers only getting 7 points on Monday night to win his game 115.00-105.55.

He ALSO needed to score 21.65 points more than Jodie to overtake her for 6th place (assuming Jodie lost… which she did). Doug scored 42.40 points more than Jodie this week, but he wouldn’t have if Jodie would have played Russell Wilson (32.45) and Cincinnati (4.00) instead of Philip Rivers (23.00) and KC (-10.00). If that would have happened, Doug would have only outscored Jodie by 18.95 points, meaning that Jodie WOULD have made the playoffs by 2.70 points.

An action shot of Doug’s mood this morning:
